Perhaps we cannot choose how our destiny begins, nor can we alter every past scene, but we can choose how to complete the rest of our journey. Those once heartbreaking scenes will one day transform into the most steadfast strength within us. Just like me now, as I write, feel, and let go, I realize that it's not just Mikasa who had her unavoidable choices; every one of us, in our own way, is striving to be someone who lives bravely.

As I was writing this post-reading reflection, I happened to be watching the final episode of "Attack on Titan." Seeing Mikasa cut off Eren's head made me feel exceptionally sad for a moment, almost bringing tears to my eyes.

After all, there are too many choices in life that are often made out of necessity. If only, how I wish those wrong decisions could have a chance to be redone.

However, the chain of events is like a series of shackles, tightly binding the entire space-time. Therefore, no matter how advanced technology becomes in the future, we cannot travel through time and rewrite what has already happened. Fortunately, we still have the ability to imagine.

Through the process of imagination, we may be able to re-experience those forgotten details, and rediscover or find the emotions that have supported us all the way to today. They are often hard to let go of, and are precisely the core of every memory.

Although we cannot change the future by altering memories like Eren, we can choose to readjust our attitude towards memories, thereby influencing our future lives. Just like an article I read from a fellow writer, she mentioned that she once missed the time of accompanying her daughter's growth because she wholeheartedly took care of her mother-in-law, which indirectly affected her daughter's suppressed personality and also led her into a series of life difficulties. It wasn't until she started her personal growth and re-examined her relationship with her family that she slowly broke free from the shackles of life and lived her own life.

Regret, trauma, and frustration may accompany us throughout our lives. But they will only continue to affect us when we cannot accept them. If we can practice facing them calmly, admitting that those "bad things" indeed happened—even if we may never truly understand their underlying reasons—at least, I, who am still here and alive at this moment, am willing to let go of those heavy burdens and move forward.

Because I am still me, my purest self. Even if I have waded through rivers, stepped through mud, hurt my hands, and pricked my heart along the way—as long as I am willing, I can still return to that pure self and continue my journey of life.

Perhaps we cannot choose how destiny begins, nor can we modify every scene of the past, but we can choose how to complete the journey ahead. Those heartbreaking scenes will one day transform into the strongest power in our hearts. Just like me now, as I write, feel, and let go, I realize that it's not just Mikasa who had her unavoidable choices; each of us, in our own way, is striving to be a brave person living life.
